Content Guidelines
A. You shall be solely responsible for your own content and the consequences of submitting and publishing your content on the projects web page. B. All media sources used to produce artworks must not infringe on the Copyright Amendment Act 2006. C. All content must have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish the content. D. Participants must adhere to the terms and conditions of third party Internet video services being utilised. E. Nudity or media containing sexual content is not permitted. No content that is deemed gratuitously graphic is acceptable. F. Graphic or gratuitously violent content is not permitted. G. Content expressing acts such as predatory behavior, threats, harassment, intimidation, privacy invasion and inciting others to commit violent or racist acts is not permitted. H. Content involving children under the age of 18 is not permitted. I. Hard copies of content developed independently, utilising the participants own equipment is the responsibility of the creator. J. The project’s web page may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by the researchers. The researchers have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites. K. Researchers will not and cannot censor or edit the content of any third-party Internet service. L. By participating in this research project, you expressly relieve the researchers from any and all liability arising from your use of any third-party website. M. As a content creator and participant you retain all of your ownership rights to your content. However, by submitting content to the project’s web page, you hereby grant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and discuss the content in connection with the research. N. No content created by participants is to be sold by the researcher or any other participant. O. If a performer is recorded on a type of media a “Deed of Release by Performer” form is required to be signed by that performer. P. If an individual participant withdraws consent once a recording has already been made the hard copy of that media will be destroyed in all possible cases.
Your Acceptance
A. I am between the ages of 18 and 65. B. I have been given the opportunity to ask the researchers questions and have had any questions answered to my satisfaction. C. I understand that the information I give to researchers will be kept confidential, and that the identity of participants will not be disclosed without consent. D. I am aware that if I have any additional questions I can contact the research team to answer my questions. E. I understand that the information provided will only be used for the purposes of this research project and I understand how the information will be used. F. I understand that I am free to withdraw from further participation at any time, without explanation or penalty. G. I understand that participation is voluntary and no explanation or justification is required if I choose not to participate. H. I recognise that no disadvantage or penalty will result in choosing not to participate.
Participant Involvement
As a participant you accept that you will be invited to complete the following procedures: A. Create electronic media artworks utilising Chroma key compositing technology. B. Share created artworks to the projects assigned web page. C. Have my submitted content screened at a forthcoming exhibition. D. During and after the closing of the exhibition, newly completed artworks will only be able to be viewed online.
Exhibition Details
A. I accept my artwork may be displayed in a televised loop as a projection in the gallery space in a forthcoming exhibition. B. I accept that if contact details are unavailable for an individual whom has contributed artwork the submitted media will not be shown at the exhibition.
Equipment and storage
A. I accept that only the participant and the researcher will have access to master recordings. B. I am aware that recordings obtained by the researcher will only be utilised to contribute artwork and documentation to the project. C. I acknowledge that the researcher will make no duplicates of any media. D. I understand that the research information collected by the researcher will be securely stored and disposed of after 5 years.
